Being a Domestic Diva is more worked than I ever imagined. Don’t get me wrong, I am enjoying myself although I feel like I’m working non stop 24 hours a day, but I’m finding it to be very satisfying and fulfilling in a strange way. It’s nice to know that I’m nourishing my family, I’m keeping a tidy home, and I’m still able to have a little me time in addition. I’m slowly getting the hang of this balancing act, or at least it feels that way to me.
A few weeks back, hubby approached me about having a good friend stay with us for a few months because of a current issue with his living situation. At first I was a little hesitant but all my worries vanished when hubby told me who he was speaking of. This guy, we’ll just call him G, has been a close friend of ours for almost 10 years now. He’s the kind of guy that will take the shirt off his back if you needed it. How could I say no? So last week we prepared ourselves to welcome G into our home for the next 3 months. I wasn’t exactly sure how things would work out, especially with our little monkey, but so far all has been good. Continue reading
